Oceanic Bank International Plc is a Nigeria-based bank engaged in the provision of banking services and products. The Bank's business segments include Consumer, Corporate and Business Banking. The Bank's portfolio of products includes loans, advances, overdrafts, and current and saving accounts. The Bank offers such services as Treasury services cover bonds, treasury bills, commercial paper and vintage funds; Transaction Banking includes cash management and client solutions; Cards and Channels cover cash machines, Web payments and point-of-sale, and Internet-based solutions include online enquiry, CorPay, Internet banking and i-Track. In addition, the Bank also is active in currency trading. The Bank operates through its head office, corporate office in Victoria Island and a network of branches/cash centers located across Nigeria. During the fourth quarter of 2011, Ecobank Nigeria acquired 100% of the shareholding in Oceanic Bank, creating the expanded Ecobank Nigeria Plc. As of December 2011, the expanded Ecobank Nigeria controlled total assets valued at approximately US$8.1 billion (NGN:1.32 trillion), making it one of the five largest banks in Nigeria at the time. At that time the bank had 610 free-standing branches, making it the second-largest bank in the country by branch network
