The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global humanitarian aid, relief and development nongovernmental organization. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC offers emergency aid and long-term assistance to refugees and those displaced by war, persecution or natural disaster. The IRC is currently working in over 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities where it resettles refugees and helps them become self-sufficient. The President of the International Rescue Committee is former British Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

The International Rescue Committee responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Our dedicated teams provide clean water, shelter, health care, education and empowerment support to refugees and displaced people.

The International Rescue Committee helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and regain control of their future.

They do a very good humanitarian service work
Current Employee

IRC is one among the leading and best humanitarian service organizations i have worked. They have done tremendous work in terms of health, nutrition, water sanitation and hygiene, education, and livelihoods in the northeast part of Nigeria. I say a very big cudos to them.
