Aerospace engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft. It has two major and overlapping branches: aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering. Avionics engineering is similar, but deals with the electronics side of aerospace engineering.
Aerospace engineering deals with designing and building machines that fly. It is one of the newest branches of engineering, and began in the 19th century with the first experiments in powered flight. As technology progressed, two specialties emerged; aeronautical engineering, which involves designing aircraft such as powered lighter-than-air craft, gliders, fixed-wing airplanes and jets, autogyros, and helicopters; and astronautical engineering, which focuses on the design and development of spacecraft.

For example students who study aerospace engineering usually get specialised from their elective course like technical aspects, engine design or air craft body design.
Aeronautical engineering is one of the most challenging fields of engineering with a wide scope of growth. This field deals with the development of new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration and defense systems. It is concerned with the designing , construction, developoment, testing , operation and miantenance of both commercial and miltary aircrafts, spacecrafts and their compnents as well as satellites and missiles. Admission Requirements for the study of Aerospace Engineering In Nigeria
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Aerospace Engineering;
You require; Five SSCE credit passes to include Physics, Geography, Mathematics, English Language and one Science subject
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Aerospace Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include;
