Career Opportunities and Job Prospects for Aeronautical Engineering Graduates in Nigeria

Aeronautical Engineering
About Aeronautical Engineering

Engineering is the creative application of science, mathematical methods, and empirical evidence to the innovation, design, construction, and maintenance of structures, machines, materials, devices, systems, processes, and organizations. The discipline of engineering encompasses a broad range of more specialized fields of engineering, each with a more specific emphasis on particular areas of applied mathematics, applied science, and types of application.

Aeronautical Engineering is the science involved with the study, design, and manufacture of flight-capable machines, or the techniques of operating aircraft.

Aeronautical engineering also covers disciplines like aerodynamics, avionics and propulsion among others.

What does an Aeronautical Engineers do?

Aeronautical engineers design, develop, test, and help manufacture commercial and military aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft.
Aeronautical engineers also develop and design extraordinary technologies such as: supersonic jets, helicopters, space shuttles, satellites and rockets.
Work done by aerospace engineers has made such things as speedy mail delivery and moon travel possible.
Aerospace Engineers are working to launch a space shuttle to reach the moon.

Scope of Aerospace Engineering

Aeronautical engineering is a broad branch from science dealing with many aspects like technical division, aircraft body design, engine design, safety measure design and many more. As a aeronautical or a aerospace engineer you need to get specialised in one path. For example students who study aerospace engineering usually get specialised from their elective course like technical aspects, engine design or air craft body design.

Aeronautical engineering is one of the most challenging fields of engineering with a wide scope of growth. This field deals with the development of new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration and defense systems. It is concerned with the designing , construction, developoment, testing , operation and miantenance of both commercial and miltary aircrafts, spacecrafts and their compnents as well as satellites and missiles. As this field of engineering involves designing and manufacturing of very high technology systems , the job requires technical as well as mechanical aptitude. The areas of specialization includes structural design, navigation guidance and control systems, instrumentation and communication, production methods or it can be a partcilar product such as military aircrafts, passenger plans, helicopters, satellites, rockets etc
