Required Knowledge & Skills
► Proven experience with designing solutions that meet industry best practice standards within complex network environments.
► In-depth knowledge of network technologies at all layers of the OSI reference model:
LAN and WAN physical access technologies
Switching protocols (MPLS, spanning-tree, 802.1ad, VLANs, 802.1q, etc.)
Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, static routing, etc.)
IP, TCP and UDP based applications and protocols
level firewall appliance experience (Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper/Netscreen, etc.)
level network load balancing appliance experience (Cisco, F5, etc.)
► Demonstrable understanding of how diverse systems and technologies interact in a complex network environment.
► Complete understanding of VPN/transport encryption technologies:
IPSec, SSL, DMVPN,GET VPN, SSH tunneling
► Ability to create and read network trace packet captures.
► Ability to create standardized network infrastructure documentation.
► Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when placed in high-stress and high-pressure situations.
► Ability to work efficiently and effectively in an environment with little day to day task based direction.
► Technology-focused bachelor’s degree, certification (CCNP/CCNA) or commensurate experience.
► 3 years of experience with administration, implementation and troubleshooting of IP network. Cisco experience is a requirement
