The Food Nutritionist will be responsible to the Feed Mill Manager. The employee will be required to generate, assess and deliver scientific evidence-based nutritional advice that will improve the dietary content and quality of feeds of all brands and specifications produced by the Feed Mill Division.
Key Responsibilities includes:
a. Make appropriate recommendations on the nutritional content of products, and highlighting trends in nutritional science.
b. Analyzing and advising on the nutritional requirements/content of feed products and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
c. Advising on nutrition labelling, claims and product promotion including advertising.
d. Provide nutritional information for company feed products and help to secure appropriate approvals for health claims on packaging.
e. Where required, promote nutritional advice via the press, website content, e-learning tutorials and webinars, seminars, audio and video podcasts and social media.
f. Review literature and undertake market research and product surveys.
g. Giving recommendations on nutritional content of products.

Education and Experience
a. Must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree/HND Animal Nutrition; Nutrition and Food Technology or related field from a reputable institution. Membership of Association for Nutrition or related professional group will be an advantage.
b. Must have excellent analytical skills.
c. Have minimum of 5 years’ experience in production and manufacturing operations in a feed mill.
d. Must be proficient in Microsoft suites, etc.
