Job Description

Cafe Neo is a breakfast-centric company with about 5 outlets currently in Lagos. Neo represents a modern and vibrant approach to celebrating Africa's coffee heritage. We are seeking to hire an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. You will be in charge of the day to day running of store operations.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Operations Manager

Details

  • Responsibilities will include scheduling shifts for baristas and wait staff, monitoring daily expenses, stock, and revenues and ordering supplies like coffee, milk, and snacks, as needed. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and turn our cafe chain into a local favorite.
  • You will be required to provide inspired leadership by making important policy and strategic decisions while promoting a company culture that encourages high levels of morale and great performance. Furthermore, checks and balances to ensure quality control and stock reconciliation will be a core focus area.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day operations of the cafe
  • Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures
  • Hiring and onboarding new employ
  • Training employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing
  • Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk, and other ingredients)
  • Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
  • Work with top management and plan for short and long term goals in line with the company's values
  • Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences (for example Soya Milk or Christmas specials)
  • Train staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities of the company
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other companies or potential partners
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with field support (such as Dispatch Riders) and client services
  • Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation

 

Job Requirements
Minimum years of experience

Qualifications
FSLC /SSCE /JSCE /NABTEB /ADN /OND /ND /NCE /B.Sc /B.Ed /B.Tech
Other Requirements

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Requirements:

  • Experience in leadership, operations, and management
  • Experience in stock tracking and reporting
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting (would be an added advantage)
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, suppliers, partners, and employees
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills

Starting Salary
NGN80,000 - NGN150,000 depending on the level of experience
